11:30 AM Soul Food Program begins
We will view a short presentation by Justine Finn on:
“Gender Equality: Not Just a Women’s Issue, but a Human Issue”
Justine Finn—the founder and director of Relation-Shift, which works to address gender and sexual violence against middle- and high-school aged youth—talks about addressing and recognizing destructive gender biases in the real world. Even now, rigid gender roles hold back women—but they also hold back men. So how do we get to gender equality? Come and find out… If we celebrate our shared humanity, we can fly.”
“Soul Food“ seeks to create an atmosphere for reflection and spiritual growth combining live music, audio visual presentations and recitation of sacred writings from diverse faiths and indigenous cultures and the writings of philosophers, authors and leaders of thought from all over the world.
